New document watermarking features for Lizard Safeguard PDF security Date: December 12th 2007
LockLizard have significantly improved watermarking options available in Lizard Safeguard as outlined below.
1) Separate tabs are now provided in the GUI to select viewing and printing watermarks. This means you can now choose to apply a different text and/or image watermark to documents being viewed as against being printed, or have no watermark at all on either of them.
2) Image and text watermarks can now be displayed on top of or behind PDF content independently of one another. The same is true for displaying watermarks on the first page. You can now, for example, choose to display a watermark text on top of PDF content, but a watermark image behind PDF content. The text watermark could be displayed on the first page but not the image watermark. Previously if you selected either option then they applied to both text and image watermarks.
3) Custom watermark positioning. Previously in the Writer, when selecting watermarking options, you were presented with a series of exclusive choices, and it was not possible to combine or edit these options. Apart from adding a new option (top, center and bottom), a special custom option is now available that lets you select the exact positioning for the watermark to display on the page.
4) Text opacity. You can now select the transparency of the text to be displayed.
