Locklizard releases v2.1 of Lock Lizard Safeguard PDF Security with HTTPS support

PDF DRM document security with HTTPS support

Date:  September 14th 2005

With added security through HTTPS communications and silent install for corporate installations, Lock Lizard Safeguard PDF Security version 2.1 increases both the security delivered to publishers and their customers, and provides additional support for seamless operation in the corporate environment.

HTTPS Support for client/server communications

Implementing HTTPS means that attackers cannot observe any of the communications between yourself as the publisher and the administration server, or between your customer and the administration system.

Technical improvements include preventing an attacker observing sufficient exchanges as to be able to consider attacking the key authorization routine through having a sufficient sample size.  This is a known attack against security methods such as WEP, and therefore we must take that possible kind of attack seriously.  Although it is technically more difficult to observe communications with our site that with a wireless system it is still theoretically possible.

Silent Install

Locklizard Safeguard PDF Security version 2.1 supports the ability to carry out automatic installs thus aiding installations in corporate environments where the IT department remotely install application programs on to the desktop.
