PROTECTING WEB CONTENT - HTML SECURITY & ENCRYPTION
Product Settings: Here you can enter the product title, home page, and description, and the location where the product will be saved to.
Add Files: Here you select the files you would like to add to your product for protecting. The GUI can be resized to enable you to see more clearly the file information for the files you have added.
Customization: Here you can enter the message or URL that is displayed if a customer is not authorized to view your information. You also choose whether a splash screen is displayed when your DRM protected product loads and for how long it is shown for.
Product Access: Here you choose whether all your customers have access to your product, or whether only those that have purchased specific products or publications can access them.
Expiry: Here you set the date from which your product is no longer available to the customer to use, and the message or URL that is displayed when your product expires, or n days before it expires.
Check Validity: Here you control how often your customers must connect to the administration (licensing) server to verify license controls.
Printing and Viewing: Here you control whether your product can be printed, and if so, how many times. You can also control the number of times your product can be viewed and the display size in the Protector Viewer application.
Environment Controls: Here you control whether copying and taking screen shots of your product is allowed, and whether your product can be viewed in a thin client environment.
WEB SECURITY ADMINISTRATION SYSTEM
This is where you create and edit user accounts and manage product and publication records.
USER REGISTRATION
A license file email is automatically sent to each user when you create an account for them on the administration system. Users install the Secure HTML Viewer and register with you (by double-clicking on their license file) so they can view your protected web content.
VIEWING SECURE WEB CONTENT
Double-click on a protected HSF file in Windows file explorer for it to display in the Secure HTML viewer. Alternatively, you can copy and paste the URL of a protected file directly into the Secure HTML Viewer's address bar, or just click on a link to a protected file in your browser.
DRM controls are enforced by Lizard Protector Web Content Security and cannot be circumvented. Details of when the user account expires and when web content expires (if at all) are displayed at the bottom of the Secure HTML Viewer.
